The Facebook page clearly states the museum is open every day in September, yet we turned up on Tuesday 24 Sept and it was closed. We drove there especially and as we were only visiting the area for a few days were rather disappointed their information wasn't accurate

Ghislaine, I am so so sorry that we were closed when you called on Tuesday. We are a volunteer run museum and our Curator died suddenly a few weeks ago meaning we have had to make some difficult decisions. One of these has been the difficult decision to restrict our opening hours because of volunteer shortages. We have tried to inform potential visitors through posts on Facebook and through our website but unfortunately some people are still seeing old information which we have been unable to change. We are very sorry that your journey was wasted and if you get in touch with us on another occasion we will ensure that someone is present to give you free entry.
